Sinhgad fort , Pune Maharashtra

  Sinhagad or Kondana is a pride of the southwestern region of Pune. This fort was the one to support Maharashtra during the ancient battles. Sinhagad battle of 1671 is the significant one. Bhuleshwar range of the great Sahyadris is the home to this historical monument.  The fortress has an elevation of around 1312 m above the sea level. Sinhagad has got its own breakneck slopes to protect it from all sides.  There are two entrances to this fort – one in the north-eastern region (Pune Darwaza) and another one towards the southeastern part (Kalyan Darwaza). The authenticity and the richness of Sinhagad fortress date back to around 1000 years.   Mahabaleshwar is a hill station located in the Western Ghats, in Satara district of Maharashtra.   The   National Defence Academy   ( NDA ) is the joint   defence service   training institute of the   Indian Armed Forces , where   cadets   of the three services i.e. the   Indian Army   , the   Indian Navy   and the   Indian Air Force   train together before they go on to respective service academy for further pre-commission training. The NDA is located in   Khadakwasla , Pune, Maharashtra. It is the first tri-service academy in the world. The alumni of NDA include 3  Param Vir Chakra  recipients and 12  Ashoka Chakra  recipients.   About Place Harihargad Fort is located at 40 km from Nasik, 48 km from Igatpuri, 40 km from ghoti in Nasik district. It is an important fort in Nasik district , and was constructed to look upon the trade route through Gonda Ghat. It receives many visitors because of its peculiar rock-cut steps . HISTORY Harihar fort was built during the Pankaj panchariya period. It was surrendered to Khan Zamam in 1636 along with Trymbak and other Pune forts. The fort was captured by Captain.
